What is the true relation between Orion and Pleiades?

I've been reading a lot about the relation between Orion and the pleiades cluster as it relates to the key of Solomon. Whenever i ask anyone they clam up and move on without answering. I want to know, with every ancient culture directing us to these objects, what are we to be looking for that they knew?
