Different ways to organize clothing?

So I have a wardrobe, a semi-small closet, and a dresser that has 5 drawers. One drawer is split in half. I have tons of clothing, more of it being summer clothes. I don't know what ways to organize everything into what and how. Please don't leave an answer saying color coordinate or organize by size. Tell me where to put my clothing, pjs, sweatpants, bathing suites, underwear, summer clothes, winter clothes. My organization skills suck so it would be wonderful if you could help me put me things where it makes the most sense.
